Just one piece was missing to complete the ambitious project of the Convention Bureau Italia, managing within less than two years in what all its predecessors badly failed: bringing together all the main Italian conference destinations.

This piece is Milan, or rather MiCo, the convention centre of Fiera Milano, linked to Fiera Milano Rho – the facility that our industry has learned about during the last editions of BIT (the International tourism trade).

BIT, by the way, this year moves to MiCo and change dates to April 2-4.

Together with MiCo another Milanese facility entering the national convention bureau is the Ramada Plaza Hotel.

And it’s not just about Milan. New entrances are also Lake Como Events, a network that brings together major players in the tourism and conference industry of Lake Como, and the Barchetta Excelsior, Centrale, Como, Cruise and Palace hotels. From Campania the Hilton Sorrento Palace has become member as well.

And it’s neither just about hotels and convention centres. The CBI network also welcomes important event agencies as AmandaEventZ, Mutika and Micromegas.

The number of companies taking part in the national MICE network thus rises to 95, allowing the CBI to represent over 1,100 industry players as well as to offer more than 3,500 rooms in Milan and more than 6,100 in Rome.
